By the Beach-1

Its been raining in Chennai and the weather has been pleasant for the past few weeks. This one is the fourth beach I'm trying out in Chennai. I have been to quite a few beaches but the ones in Chennai are not what I wished it to be. As expected, they are crowded and dirty. I guess its mainly because one can't smell the sea in Chennai and its totally void of any birds except for crows and the sea breeze feels just like the wind everywhere else in Chennai. Its also noisy that you can't hear the waves splashing either.

I took a few snaps using my friends camera.

I like the different hues of blue in the second picture, it is very calming.

me too, the second pic does not make one feel that the beach is lousy.....even Florida has its share of lousy beaches...what i hate is the way they let commercial development (condos, hotels shops, etc) happen so close to the beach....takes away all the charm. Give me a natural beach any day .....and one of the most beautiful ones i saw was in a fishing village in Kerala , Sarad :)

I ahve heard that Kerala beaches are the prettist. I agree, all the commercialisation kills the charm and the naturality of such places...

i had to come back to tell u that i loved the expression u used for the pic.."the wood's melting into water"....never saw it like that till u wrote it ...thank u :)

and jas, the fishing villages in Kerala are breathtakingly beautiful and lush. sarad will certify that for us, am sure.:)

Jas: there are good beaches and except for the very popular ones, they are not crowded. One can have a good time, by the beach.

will post it soon. Having a good and bad time, at the same time. Strange experience! Hence off blogworld for some time.
Yes, any village in kerala is lush green and the western ghats are spectacular during the monsoon season.
